FAQ

How long will it take to design my new home?

Well, like many elements of the architecture/construction process, the answer is "it depends."  However, I can provide a few general rules of thumb.  Overall, the process from the time we begin until permit is obtained is 5 to 6 months.  As part of this process we must incorporate not only design and drafting of your plans, but also engineering (soils, trusses, grading & drainage, structural), architectural review (depending on the development), and, of course, permit processing within the City or County.  This also assumes an average timeline of feedback from you at various phases of the design process.  Everyone is different.  Some people make decisions regarding their new home fairly quickly, while others take a little more time.  Although you will never get pressure from me to "make a decision," the longer you take does add to the overall time frame.
